Research Stations and Field Days

The University of Wisconsin Cooperative Extension system operates several agricultural research stations across the state.  Handouts, reports, and presentations given at these stations may be accessed below.

Antigo – Langlade Agricultural Research Station

The Langlade Agricultural Research Station is operated by the University of Wisconsin Extension on behalf of the Wisconsin potato industry.  The operation of the farm is supported financially through the Wisconsin Potato and Vegetable Growers Association by the Wisconsin Potato Industry Board and through industry support by the Wisconsin Potato and Vegetable Growers (Associate Division.)

Hancock Agricultural Research Station

The Hancock Agricultural Research Station is a 412-acre vegetable research farm located in the Central Sands area of Wisconsin. Field trials at the station are related to potatoes, field corn, sweet corn, soybeans, snap beans, carrots, cucumbers and switchgrass. The station is also home to the Wisconsin Potato & Vegetable Storage Research Facility.

Arlington Agricultural Research Station

The Arlington Agricultural Research Station is used by almost all disciplines in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences.

West Madison Agricultural Research Station

The West Madison Research Station is used by almost all disciplines in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences with focus on urban agriculture, outreach, plant breeding, and providing feed for the UW-Madison campus dairy.
