Kat Prince is a M.S. student working on a joint degree in entomology and agroecology. Her research takes place in Wisconsin’s Central Sands growing region, where she is studying the diversity and abundance of native pollinators in processing vegetable crops. She is also analyzing the concentration of neonicotinoid pesticide within plant tissues as these crops grow. The results from this project will help us learn which bees are present in this important area and the risks they may be facing.
